The course is the biggest asset of a golf club. This beautiful parkland course is well known in Scotland and is tucked away in the countryside southwest of Glasgow. The prevailing wind is normally haunting you for the first six holes and there is a wee burn following you all that way. These holes include the formidable 3rd that has the burn and O.B. to the left, and the 12 yard wide green seems to be too close to golfing tragedy. If you succeed in getting to the 7th unscathed, you are doing very well indeed.
It may seem the course is shorter than the championship variety nowadays. Although, it is long enough and challenges the very best of golfers, especially in Scottish weather.
