A warm welcome to Caldwell Golf Club. We are extremely proud of our club and hope that we are able to showcase ourselves and provide all of the information you may require. Should you wish to book tee times, or have any questions about the club, please contact us.
Formed in 1903, the course sits on the geographical border between Renfrewshire and Ayrshire on a natural route from Glasgow towards Prestwick and Troon. We have an interesting history which can be explored further via the History page. The legacy is an established members club that offers all the facilities expected with a course that is not only challenging, but will leave a lasting memory. A few holes in particular, feature in many golf stories, so bring your game and generate your own history.
30/08/2010. Members are notified there is a new PC installed in the clubhouse hallway next to the phone. It can be used NOW for booking tee-times if you have the number on your membership card. The intention is to use it to 'Replace' the medal/competition sheets that go on display in the locker room. This trial process starts with some training next week and notices will be appearing in the clubhouse to help this evolution as we modernise the way we do things. The people who come to the clubhouse on Mondays at 6PM will still have a priority on bookings. Beyond this we allow internet users to book times without the need to travel to the clubhouse, but will not be able to do so until 7PM.
29/08/2010 The Gents Invitational result can be seen on the 'members' page.
27/08/2010 The course will be closed on 9th and 10th September as Caldwell is hosting a Young Professional 54 Hole event.
23/08/2010 Championship Day took place on Saturday 21st August, with some windy conditions to test the players. Club champion for the third straight year is Paul Alexander, who triumphed after a 3 hole play-off with John Dougall. Paul and John were tied after 2 rounds on 142. John had led the field by three shots after a fine 68 in the morning, which included a five-birdie 31 on the back nine. Paul matched his 68 in the afternoon, and birdied the 14th and 18th in extra time to take the title. The Handicap Plate was won by Willie Moffat with a nett 72, and the Junior Championship was won by Ben Rodger with a 157 two round total. Runner-up was Andrew Christie.
